Two names – one valley! Covering a distance of 40 km, the valley begins at the confluence of the river Aurino near Brunico, in the Pusteria Valley. Campo Tures is the largest village and lies at the foot of the imposing Taufers Castle. The Vedrette di Ries-Aurina natural park, one of the seven natural parks in the Alto Adige region, represents an integral part of the territory: a protected area that borders two Austrian national parks – together forming the largest union of protected areas in Europe.
We are located in the most northerly part not only of Alto Adige, but also of the Italian territory.
